Ippo & Oppi Storyboard

Storyboard for a short narrative about two seemingly cute creatures (spanish).
This project was developed in pairs, my contribution covers vignettes 1 to 17. I decided to show them together to showcase the full sequence and narrative flow. Camera angles, character designs and storytelling all have been created by me.
The story follows two monstrous (but cute and innocent) beings who share a close bond. Oppi (the small bird-like creature) playfully tries to engage with Ippo. After Ippo throws a ball, Oppi runs after it. Suddenly, the story takes a dark turn when Ippo is confronted with the chick's sudden death after letting him chase the ball on his own, having a deep metaphor for a parent’s fear of letting their children grow and face the world independently.
The intention was to create a strong contrast. A tender, almost innocent interaction that ends in a shocking and unsettling way.
The setting is a complete dark space, where both characters are isolated under theatrical spotlights, directing all attention to their actions and emotions.
